7 Things to Do a Week Before Wedding- Ultimate Wedding Planning Checklist

You have spent months making plans for your big day, and you certainly do not want last-minute disasters to spoil your efforts. Hence proper planning beforehand is highly recommended. Having a wedding planning checklist handy can be highly beneficial.

If your wedding day is just a week away, you must check these seven things before the event. Here’s a few last-minute tasks to check off your list, shared by the lovely Bianco Brides, so that this phase becomes a little less hectic for you.

Have As Many Dress-Up Sessions As Possible

It’s great if your wedding dress has a perfect fit, but don’t stop there. Try on the full ensemble, including shoes and jewelry, to finalise your look. A few dress-up sessions will help for sure. It will help you find out if there’s anything that needs your immediate attention. Also, practice your walk down the aisle in front of the mirror to make sure that everything looks and feels comfortable.

Check Your Shoes

Your wedding shoes are brand new, but do you feel comfortable in them? Do they cause any bruises or bumps? Keep in mind that you will be wearing your bridal shoes in the event for quite some time. And, if you have any wound on your feet (or, in the worst case, the pair of shoes is not up to the mark) you won’t be able to wear it on our big day. To avoid such glitches, wear them for a short period of time every day, walk around the house and, eventually, get used to it.

Finalise the Guest List

We are sure that your guest list is ready, and you are done with sending our invitation cards. But what if you miss out on some names? There’s a high chance of such mistakes, especially when you have a hectic schedule. So, a last-minute check always helps. Check out if you are successfully done with sending in RSVPs.

Finalise seating arrangements

Make sure that you provide excellent hospitality for your guests. For that, you need to start with your seating arrangements. Even if you have hired an event planner and left all the hospitality arrangements to him, seating arrangement for guests must be taken care of properly. Finalise those after discussing with your spouse to be. Be sure to send a copy to those who need it, such as the wedding planner, photographer, and designated bridesmaid.

Take care of the last-minute RSVPs

Reach out to the guests who have not sent an RSVP yet. Call the last-minute stragglers who haven't told you whether or not they're coming to your wedding. While you may not feel comfortable in doing so, you can get the final count of guests this way. After all it’s your responsibility to make sure that all your guests have a great time at your wedding.

Confirm vendors and Prepare Payments

It’s quite obvious that your vendors and suppliers are all confirmed. But, in spite of that it’s recommended to run a last-minute check on their availability. Send all your vendors an email or give them a reminder call to sort out things. Be sure to confirm their arrival times. Make sure that your florist, baker, caterer, and hair and makeup team will be there a few hours (or may be a day) before the event. Because the preparation would take quite a lot of time. Get any checks or final payments ready for vendors and check your contracts for payment deadlines to be extra sure you're on time.

Confirm Honeymoon Itineraries

If your honeymoon dates are planned already, it’s obvious that the tickets are also booked. Now, it’s time to double-check your flight times and confirm your hotel bookings and any other activity or dinner reservations you might have. Remember, you won’t have much time left for planning your honeymoon once the wedding is over. Unless you plan your honeymoon months after your wedding, you need to confirm everything as early as possible.

Ending Note

Planning your wedding comes with a plethora of challenges. From setting up the venue to taking care of the guests, a lot of things come into play. There’s a high chance that something important just slipped off your mind. Having a checklist at your access means that it will work as a reminder, so that you can kick your feet up and enjoy every second of your wedding celebrations, without making any hasty last-minute decisions for damage control.
